| threw you the obvious and you flew with it on your back, a name in your recollection, thrown down among a million same. difficult not to feel a little bit disappointed and passed over when i've looked right through to see you naked and oblivious and you don't see me.but i threw you the obvious just to see if there's more behind the eyes of a fallen angel, the eyes of a tragedy. here i am expecting just a little bit too much from the wounded. but i see through it all and see you. so i threw you the obvious to see what occurs behind the eyes of a fallen angel, eyes of a tragedy. oh well. apparently nothing. you don't see me. you don't see me at all.

| I never knew I never knew that everything was falling through That everyone I knew was waiting on a queue To turn and run when all I needed was the truth But that's how it's got to be It's coming down to nothing more than apathy I'd rather run the other way than stay and see The smoke and who's still standing when it clears
Everyone knows I'm in Over my head Over my head With eight seconds left in overtime She's on your mind She's on your mind
Let's rearrange I wish you were a stranger I could disengage Just say that we agree and then never change Soften a bit until we all just get along But that's disregard Find another friend and you discard As you lose the argument in a cable car Hanging above as the canyon comes between
Everyone knows I'm in Over my head Over my head With eight seconds left in overtime She's on your mind She's on your mind
Everyone knows I'm in Over my head Over my head With eight seconds left in overtime She's on your mind She's on your mind
And suddenly I become a part of your past I'm becoming the part that don't last I'm losing you and its effortless Without a sound we lose sight of the ground In the throw around Never thought that you wanted to bring it down I won't let it go down till we torch it ourselves

| Well you can't see everything coming can you... Nothing can remain perfect forever apparently. Here I am, bored as hell during Yom Kippur dinner, sadly a little tipsy from beers I had before dinner on an empty stomach... that was a bad idea, pathetic really. The past year of my life seems to be gone... I wish I could get it back. Shit happens, life's a bitch, life goes on I guess, as unfair as it may be, it does. I can't regret any of it, if I did that would be questioning how happy I've been in the past year, the best year of my life so far and probably for a while. This year was unbelievable, I could have never asked for a better senior year... the summer came and stuff changed.
I hope I can once again be that happy, and I just hope that you are happy too, those are the things that really matter.
As I've already said before, auf wiedersehen, but only for now I hope. | comments: Leave a comment |

| Today I turned 18 =)
Despite the fact that most people only wished me a happy birthday because of facebook etc. today was fun! Well the bio ap sucked... but tonight I had dinner and cake with my parents and Bonnie; where I got money and a GPS navigation system for my car. My mom made this awesome cake in the shape of an 18.
I love you Bonnie, thanks for making my birthday the best one yet =). | comments: 6 comments or Leave a comment |

| Wow so I haven't really updated this in a while.
Well I got all of my colleges back.
Acceptances:
SUNY Binghamton SUNY Purchase Manhattanville Skidmore Wheaton Trinity Franklin&Marshall Connecticut College
Wait list:
Vassar Brandeis
Rejections:
Columbia (of course).
So yeah... I have absolutely no idea where I want to go, and approximately a month to decide. Awesome...
Senior year has gone pretty quickly. I'm doing an internship in May with my Uncle's record company, called Caroline Records and Astralwerks; the relationship between the two is too annoying to explain at the moment. I'm continuing it for the summer with Harris, so hopefully it'll be pretty fun.
Prom is soon, although no one knows where it's going to be. I'm going with Bonnie of course =). At this time last year I'm pretty sure everyone knew where prom was for the past month. I don't know though...
Haven't really played drums much recently... no one to play with at the moment. Since Viscosity broke up and Harris and Ben pretty much just left me alone it's been pretty boring. I play with Mike occasionally when he gets back from college. We recorded a demo, but that was last summer. Since then we've only been able to play a couple times, but recorded a song without lyrics called "To Mars."
Not much else to say.
I LOVE YOU BONNIE <333 | comments: 3 comments or Leave a comment |

| Hello stupid journal.
Summer is basically over, which sucks. It was okay I guess... fun highlights consisted of when we all went to Kelly Ann's house, and every time we visited Hastings. You girls saved my summer <3.
Mohawk ended, I got $315 in tips, which was more than some people and a lot less than others. I was happy with it. My cousin Conner visited for a week, I hadn't seen him in about five or six years I think. That was pretty cool, I was scared we wouldn't get along, but we did, and had fun, I hope. I went to Seattle and California last week. In Seattle I saw my Aunt and Uncle, and went to a wedding of someone I don't know. We saw the Space Needle, which got boring after about ten seconds. Then we flew to California... however the flight my Dad booked was at 8:30 PM, not AM. Lol... so that fucked us over big time. But we got a flight to... ORANGE COUNTY at 1:10 thank God... But we still had to wait about five hours. We saw the typical stuff in LA, the starwalk, Chinese theater, the footprints, sunset and hollway boulevards etc.
But Universal and WB Studies were the best... saw the War of the World set, and a lot of other movie and TV show sets like... the street desperate housewives is filmed on, which happens to be the same street that leave it to beaver was filmed on. Then... Central Perk from Friends, which I got a picture of me on the couch. Then... basically the entire Gilmore Girls town, and some Dukes of Hazzards stuff. We saw the batmobile from the new batman movie and the old one, also the harry potter car from the second movie... and the MYSTERY MACHINE! Yeah that was weird...
After LA we went to Huntington Beach, which was really boring.
I'm just glad to be back... I missed people.
Pictures... I'm too lazy to do the code stuff.

| Well the summer is going both slow and fast at the same time... Working at Mohawk is sometimes fun and sometimes tiring and awful. I've met tons of really cool people there, most of them are in college and older. These kids exhaust me... it's never-ending. But it really is fun. The salary is one of the worst you can make at a teenage job, but I'm trying to ignore that.
The most exciting part of my summer so far has been the lovely Kyle's birthday party, in which we all drove to Armonk. We definitly didn't get lost that much, except we were literally right in front of her house. Then I stopped and told everyone her house was within like twenty feet of us, but we couldn't figure it out until Becky and Kyle came out and helped us. Yes so, Leo was the life of the party, even though Kyle disagrees. I saw Matt and Rachel again, who I apparently have not seen in a year. Matt is hysterical, and I now know what Rachel looks like again. All in all, really fun.
Then Saturday was Jose's party, which consisted of food and other things... it was kind of fun. Then we left... and I went home.... and read Harry Potter until like 11:00. Then finished it this morning. Such an amazing book, despite I almost felt like crying at the end (I never said that okay?), it was so sad.
Now I am being forced to see War of the Worlds with my mother.
This was a really long entry. | comments: 6 comments or Leave a comment |

| Hmm well the last few weeks have been... well I don't really remember. On Memorial Day weekend I visited Trinity with Harris. It was okay, nothing spectacular as usual... Last week some of my Irish family visited: My aunt, uncle, cousin, cousin's friend, aunt's mother, and aunt's brother. I thought at first it would be a bit awkward because I hadn't seen my cousin (Helen) in a while. But it was pretty fun actually.
Um so like nothing else since life is boring.
Finals are soon!
Oh yeah the band bbq was today. That was actually really fun! It pretty much consisted of everyone soaking each other in water. Yay. | comments: Leave a comment |

| This past weekend was long and exhausting. Friday was prom, which was pretty fun. I danced like an idiot, but so did pretty much everyone, so that was good! The food sucked though... but the hors deurves were good. after prom i went to greenwich to the diner, and the limo left us for some reason, and another guy came in a van to pick us back up. luckily kelly ann is getting a refund on that... since i had nyssma the next morning... my parents wouldn't let me to go to viper so... i did ok in nyssma i guess, i was exhausted anyway, but i don't really care so...lol saturday i don't think i did anything, but i don't really remember. that night got garden catering and had a miniture mario kart tournament, which andrew pretty much dominated, and meagan ended up having to pay him ten bucks. both harris and kelly ann sucked at it=p. then we watched a really depressing movie... something with gilbert in the title; following by three family guy episodes!!!!!! hysterical as always. sunday was NYC club... food at mahony's and serendipity. it was fun, but the salad pizza had cheese on it for some reason... odd.
so that was my unexciting weekend. i'm still totally exhausted from prom and the city ><.

| | The singer is talking to someone, an individual whose name is not mentioned, and explains how he is ‘glad’ to see him well, demonstrating the fact that he recently must have been not well. This man is ‘overcome and completely silent now,” obviously a changed person since the dreadful occurrence that changed him. The album this song is on, “The Thirteenth Step,” is, as a whole, a metaphor for the twelve steps of drug recovery. So, one possibility is the bad things that the man experienced all related to drug addictions. “With heaven’s help you cast your demons out.” This is where the main point of the song comes into focus. It can be inferred that the man the singer is talking about did something terrible in the past (drugs and perhaps bad things he performed while under the influence, possibly to other people), and was able to make amends with himself, by believing in God and praying; by doing this, he was able to ‘cast his demons out.” In essence, he is now an ‘angel’ on earth, because he now believes in God; it is not specified what religion he is now affiliated with however, but it can be assumed that is indeed Catholicism. “And not to pull your halo down around your neck and tug you off your cloud” is basically saying how the singer regrets guilting the man again, and questioning whether he had actually made peace with himself. He is regretting pulling the halo of the man (since he is an angel), and metaphorically choking him, because he is accusing the man of not being spiritually healed. This is an intense irony, the halo of the man, the symbol of goodness and religion that embodies him, is being pulled around his neck and chokes him. “Tug you off your cloud” obviously refers to the singer pulling the man out of heaven, off of “Cloud Nine” so to speak, where all is always well. The singer questions and is ‘curious’ how the man is going to be able to ‘make amends with the dead.’ This exemplifies how the man must have already made amends with himself, but not the dead that were negatively affected by his actions. In the next stanza of words, “Recall the deeds as if they're all someone else's atrocious stories,” the singer is telling the man to forget that he himself actually performed those horrible deeds, and believed them to have been done by another. By doing this, he can ‘stand reborn before us all.” He can be reincarnated into a new being, rid of the former guilt and accusations. Here, the repetition of “so glad to see you well,” is slightly ironic, due to the previous lines about how the singer is ‘tugging him off his cloud’ and ‘pulling his halo around his neck.” Next, the same previous lines are repeated, again reiterating the apology of the singer to accuse the man of bad deeds, “And not to pull your halo down around your neck.” However, the second part of the second line of this stanza differs, it says “and tug you to the ground,” instead of “and tug you off your cloud.” Actually bringing the man to the ground is going a huge step further then simply pulling him off his cloud. Now he is not only removing him from heaven, he is also forcing him to return to earth. The words “Your halo slippin' down” are repeated continuously here, to reiterate how the guilt is overcoming the man, and his angelic halo is ironically choking him. At this point of the song, the music gets louder and “Your halo slippin' down” is repeated more forcefully, simply extenuating the irony. After this is repeated a few times, “I'm more than just a little curious how you're plannin' to go about makin' your amends” is softly said in the background, restating the fact that the singer is doubtful about how the man will actually be able to make amends with the deceased, and live on with his life. The last lines of the song are “Your halo slippin' down to choke you now.” This is final, and the halo has slipped from above the former angelic man’s head and has metaphorically choked him, causing his demons to reappear, and to lose his place in heaven, and his own religion. | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |

| Today is my birthday. 17 years old =). Senior license... finally =).
My day: nothing, nothing, food and cake, and some presents.
A great day =)
Let's see... well I got a new license plate, which says "Jveritas." So that's awesome. Then... some books and money. Oh and two free concerts from Janna =DDD. No clue which ones, we gotta figure that out.
Thanks to anyone who wished me a happy birthday! =). | comments: 8 comments or Leave a comment |

| mhm well this weekend was interesting.
Friday was open mic night, viscosity's first show. i think we did pretty good; we got both positive and negative feedback, which is okay. it was fun, considering that i haven't played a show in about a year so =). alfredo came, so that was cool. after it i ate chinese and then went with meagan chloe and andrew to the beach and lied there for a while. i decided i'm going to sleep there one night this summer. i can't wait =). saturday i just like studied all day for AP US, that sucked. that night i saw hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, which was a funny movie. it wasn't nearly as good as the book though. the guy who played ford's name was mos def... that cracked me up. but apparently he's a rapper so that's not his real name. it would have been so cool if it was...
AP's next week... =/ | comments: Leave a comment |

| This week I visited four more colleges... Connecticut College, Brandeis, Tufts, and Wheaton. They were okay, out of those I liked Brandeis the best. I don't really have a chance to get into that though, but I got a 29 on the ACT, so I might have a chance...
Today I saw SinCity with Janna; an awesome movie. Very confusing... with random plotlines that didn't really connect, but it was still a really good movie. | comments: Leave a comment |

| | I visited Skidmore today. I liked it much better than F&M and Bucknell. This was partly because of the fact that at the info session, they talked about how Skidmore was unique, not better than other colleges. the campus was alright, the only thing i didn't like about it was the quad was too big. But I'm definitly going to consider applying there. after skidmore we went to union to just check out the campus, we didn't go to a tour or anything. i really liked the union campus, a huge quad, which was cool. i might actually visit it and go to an info session eventually. | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |
